SaaS Development

SaaS development company in India

We take founders from idea to a launched SaaS MVP in 10 to 16 weeks, with multi-tenancy and billing built in, typically for Rs 4 to 15 lakh.

We take founders from idea to a launched MVP, starting with a scoping sprint and a clickable prototype. We then build in React or Next.js on ASP.NET Core or Node.js, with a new version every Friday. Multi-tenancy, billing and an admin panel are standard.

Why most SaaS products fail: they build too much

SaaS products rarely fail because of bad code. More often, the founder spends a year building a full feature list without talking to customers first, launches, and finds no buyers.

Products that succeed usually start with one type of user and one workflow done well. They ship in weeks, change based on real usage and charge from day one, since interest and payment are very different signals. Much of our early work is reducing scope: a founder may arrive with 40 features when the MVP needs eight.

How we work as a SaaS development company in India: four stages

1. Scoping sprint (1 to 2 weeks)

We establish who your first customer is, how they manage today and what would make them pay, then reduce the idea to the smallest product that does that job. You receive user stories, a screen list, a fixed quote and dates. The scoping document is yours to share with any other MVP development company.

2. Design prototype (2 to 3 weeks)

Our UI/UX team builds a clickable Figma prototype. You can show it to prospects before any code is written and collect letters of intent or pre-orders.

3. Build with weekly demos (6 to 12 weeks)

Every Friday you receive a link to a working build, and changes go into the next week's plan. Billing, emails, admin and security are built alongside the product throughout.

4. Launch and iterate

We launch to a small group first, such as your waitlist or a few pilot customers, and fix where they get stuck. Analytics are live from day one. Development then continues on a monthly retainer.

Which tech stack should a SaaS product use?

For most SaaS products we recommend React or Next.js for the front end, ASP.NET Core or Node.js for the backend, and PostgreSQL for the database. Next.js is used where pricing or help pages need to rank on Google.

ASP.NET Core suits business-heavy products, enterprise buyers and Microsoft environments. Node.js suits real-time features such as chat, notifications and collaborative editing. PostgreSQL is free, fast and supports row-level security, which helps keep customer data separate; SQL Server suits Microsoft-based businesses.

AWS and Azure both have Indian regions for buyers that require data to stay in India. These technologies are also easy to hire for when you build your own team.

What every SaaS product needs on day one

Some features cost roughly three times as much to add later, often with data migration while customers are using the product.

Multi-tenancy

Multi-tenant SaaS development means one application serves many customer companies while keeping each company's data separate. We use a tenant ID on every record plus PostgreSQL row-level security as a second safeguard. Enterprise customers can have their own database.

Roles and permissions

Owners, admins, standard users and read-only users each see only what they should, and customers manage their own teams.

Billing and subscriptions

Plans, trials, upgrades and downgrades with proration, GST invoices and automatic retries when a payment fails. For India we use Razorpay Subscriptions with UPI AutoPay and card mandates under RBI's recurring payment rules. For overseas customers we use Stripe, and we confirm account eligibility in week one, as Stripe has restricted Indian onboarding at times.

Audit logs

A record of who changed what, and when. Larger customers ask for it, and it resolves disputes over edited records.

Onboarding emails

A welcome email, a day-two reminder for incomplete setup and a notice before the trial ends. These often lift trial-to-paid conversion more than a new feature would.

Admin panel

A back office to view accounts, change plans, issue refunds and log in as a user for support, with that access recorded.

Security

Hashed passwords, two-factor login, rate limits, secrets kept out of the code, encrypted backups and an OWASP Top 10 review before launch. Consent and deletion requests under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act are handled within the product.

Can an internal tool become a SaaS product?

Often, yes, since the tool already solves a real problem for at least one business. Paying customers, though, expect self-service sign-up, online payment, configuration and help documentation, which means adding multi-tenancy and billing.

We suggest first finding three companies willing to pay for a pilot. If they will, we review your code, keep what is sound and convert it in stages while your team keeps using it.

How much does SaaS MVP development cost in India?

SaaS MVP development in India typically costs Rs 4 to 15 lakh. The main variables are the number of user types, workflows and integrations in version one, and an accurate figure needs scoping.

Tier What it usually includes Typical cost Typical timeline
Lean MVP One user type, one core workflow, basic roles, Razorpay subscriptions, onboarding emails, simple admin panel Rs 4 to 6 lakh 8 to 10 weeks
Standard MVP Two or three user types, team accounts, multi-tenancy, dashboards, two or three integrations, audit logs Rs 6 to 10 lakh 10 to 14 weeks
Complex MVP Marketplace or workflow-heavy product, several integrations, mobile app or PWA, advanced reporting, stricter compliance needs Rs 10 to 15 lakh 14 to 20 weeks

Running costs are separate: hosting, an email service, monitoring and gateway fees (about 2 percent per transaction on Razorpay's standard plan). Keep a marketing budget too, since a product with no audience is how most founders run out of money.

MVP development company for first-time founders

As an MVP development company, we reduce the first release to the one workflow people will pay for, plan 10 to 16 weeks to first paying users, and put real users on it before adding more. This applies to founders in India and abroad, and you hold the code from day one.

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?

Most SaaS MVPs take 10 to 16 weeks from scoping to first paying users. Scoping and the prototype take about a month and the build six to twelve weeks. Speed comes from reducing scope, while security and billing stay in. Delays usually come from pending decisions, payment gateway approval or unwritten landing page copy, which we flag early.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You own all of it. We sign your NDA first, and the development agreement assigns the code, designs and documentation to your company. The code sits in your own GitHub or GitLab organisation from day one, cloud accounts are in your name, and we list every open-source licence for investor due diligence.

Do you build SaaS products for founders in Australia, the UK, the USA or the UAE?

Yes, with the same process and the same NDA, IP assignment and account ownership from the first commit. Billing runs on Stripe in USD, GBP, AUD or AED, tax covers VAT or US sales tax, privacy follows GDPR for UK and EU customers, and hosting sits in your buyers' region.

Our 10 AM to 7 PM IST day overlaps the Australian afternoon and the UK morning, and Dubai is 90 minutes behind us; US founders get early or late demos. SaaS work is quoted in US dollars after scoping, and our pricing page lists fixed overseas packages for websites, SEO and ads that often support a launch.

What happens after launch?

Most founders keep us on a monthly retainer for bug fixes, security patches, server monitoring and new features, scaled up or down as needed. When you hire your own developers, we provide documentation and work alongside them until the handover is complete.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build a SaaS MVP in India?+

Typically Rs 4 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. One user type with one workflow stays near the lower end, while more user types, integrations or a mobile app raise the cost. You receive a fixed price in writing after scoping.

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?+

Usually ten to sixteen weeks from the first scoping session, with a working version every Friday during the build. Simple products can launch in about eight weeks and complex ones can take up to twenty.

Do I own the source code and intellectual property?+

Yes. The agreement assigns full IP in the code, designs and documentation to your company, and the code and hosting are in your accounts from day one. There are no licence fees.

Will you sign an NDA before I share my SaaS idea?+

Yes, before you share any details, using your NDA or ours. The development agreement then assigns all IP to your company.

Can you build a multi-tenant SaaS with subscription billing?+

Yes, both are standard. Every record carries a tenant ID enforced by the database, and billing covers plans, trials, upgrades, GST invoices and failed-payment reminders through Razorpay in India and Stripe overseas, subject to Stripe's approval.

Which tech stack suits a SaaS product?+

Usually React or Next.js, ASP.NET Core or Node.js, and PostgreSQL, all easy to hire for in India. We lean towards .NET for enterprise buyers and Node for real-time features.

I'm a non-technical founder. Can I still work with you?+

Yes. Scoping focuses on your customers, you review the prototype before anything is built, and there is a new version every Friday. We present technical choices in terms of cost, risk and time.

Can our internal business tool become a SaaS product?+

Often, yes. It will need separate customer accounts, self-service sign-up, billing and simpler onboarding. We recommend getting two or three companies to pay for a pilot before rebuilding.

Do you work with SaaS founders outside India?+

Yes, through video calls, a shared Figma board and a project tracker. We work 10 AM to 7 PM IST, Monday to Friday, invoice in US dollars and sign your NDA and IP paperwork first.

What happens after the MVP launches?+

Most founders keep us on a monthly retainer for fixes, security, monitoring and new features. When you hire developers, we hand over documentation and support them through the transition.
