We're Digital Web Mania, and our website redesign services start from the site you already have, not a blank page. We crawl it, map every URL, set 301 redirects and keep the content that ranks. Then we rebuild it quicker, phone-first and easier to enquire from. Most business sites go live in 3 to 5 weeks.

Most people who ring us about a redesign say the same thing: the site looks old, enquiries have slowed, and they're nervous that touching it will wreck what Google traffic is left. Fair worry. A careless redesign can halve your traffic within a month. A careful one usually holds steady, and our website redesign services are built around the careful version.
Does your website need a refresh or a full redesign?
Plenty of sites don't need a redesign at all, and we'll tell you if yours is one. If the structure works and the traffic is steady, a refresh may be enough: new fonts and colours, better photos, a tidier homepage. It costs much less and carries almost no SEO risk.
A proper redesign starts to make sense when the problems go deeper than looks. The site is awkward on a phone. Pages take five or six seconds to open on 4G. Nobody on your team can change a price without phoning a developer. Your services have moved on but the menu hasn't, or enquiries have been sliding for a year while competitors put up better sites. My rough rule? Two or more of those, and it's a redesign.
A full rebuild is for when the platform itself is the problem: a Wix or GoDaddy builder site you've outgrown, a custom PHP site whose developer stopped answering calls, or a WooCommerce store that wobbles every time you run a sale.
Refresh vs redesign vs rebuild: what's the difference?
Put simply, a refresh changes how the site looks, a redesign changes how it works, and a rebuild changes what it runs on. Here's how they compare.
| Refresh | Redesign | Full rebuild | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What changes | Colours, fonts, images, a few layouts | Page structure, menus, design, copy and speed | Platform and code, often the whole structure too |
| Platform | Stays the same | Usually stays the same | Moves (Wix to WordPress, WooCommerce to Shopify) |
| Good fit when | The site works but looks dated | It looks dated, loads slowly or doesn't bring enquiries | The platform holds you back or nobody can maintain it |
| URLs | Unchanged | Some change, every one mapped with a 301 | Most change, every one mapped with a 301 |
| SEO risk | Low | Moderate, kept in check with a URL map | Higher, needs the most care |
| Typical cost in India | Quoted per job, less than a redesign | Rs 25,000 to 80,000 on WordPress; Shopify from Rs 40,000 | Shopify from Rs 40,000; custom from about Rs 1.5 lakh |
| Typical timeline | Shorter than a redesign | 3 to 5 weeks | 4 to 8 weeks for stores, longer for custom builds |
How do we redesign a website without losing SEO?
We treat your old site as something that has earned its rankings, and carry that across before changing anything else. Nearly every post-redesign traffic crash we've been asked to fix came down to pages deleted, URLs renamed and no redirects.
So the first job is a full crawl of the current site, plus 16 months of Search Console data and a backlink check. From that we build a URL map, a spreadsheet listing every old address next to its new one. Any page with clicks, impressions or links pointing at it keeps its content (we edit it, we don't bin it), keeps a similar title and, if its URL has to change, gets one 301 redirect straight to its closest new page. Not to the homepage, and never through a chain of three redirects.
The new site is built on a password-protected staging link Google can't see. On launch day we test every redirect in the map, submit the new sitemap and check robots.txt. (A "discourage search engines" box left ticked from staging is a classic.) Then, for two weeks, someone here opens Search Console every morning and fixes any 404 or indexing problem the same day. A small dip in the first week is normal. A big one almost always means a skipped redirect, which is exactly what those morning checks catch.
Speed, Core Web Vitals and mobile
A lot of redesign requests are really speed problems in disguise. We set targets in writing before we start: LCP under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 ms and CLS under 0.1, the same Core Web Vitals numbers Google reports in Search Console. Getting there usually means WebP images, fewer plugins and fonts loaded properly.
Mobile comes first, always. We test on mid-range Androids on Jio 4G and on iPhones, not a squeezed desktop browser. Buttons big enough for a thumb, a menu that opens without a fight, and text you can read without zooming. Basic stuff. Most old sites fail it.
Will a redesign bring more enquiries?
It should, if enquiries are designed in from the start rather than bolted on at the end. Pretty pages nobody contacts you from are still a failure.
Forms get trimmed to the fields you really need (name, phone, what they're after), because every extra box loses people. Indian sites get a WhatsApp click-to-chat button and a tap-to-call number in the mobile header. Overseas sites show the number in local format and often add a booking link. Every page gets one clear next step. Google Analytics 4 tracks form fills, calls and WhatsApp clicks from day one, so you can see if the redesign is working.
Content, copy and accessibility basics
Copy is where redesigns stall. Text that ranks stays, tidied up; thin pages get merged or rewritten. Writing it yourselves? We'll send a template. Or we write it, in British, Australian or American spelling to suit your market.
We also build in the accessibility basics: proper colour contrast, alt text on images, labels on every form field, headings in a sensible order, a visible focus outline and a site you can move through with a keyboard. We work towards WCAG 2.2 AA on these points. To be straight, that's good practice, not a formal audit or certificate.
Moving platforms during a redesign
Sometimes a redesign is the moment to leave a platform behind.
Wix or GoDaddy builder to WordPress. Neither builder gives you a clean export, so we copy the content across page by page, rebuild it in WordPress and map the old URLs (Wix blog posts, for example, sit under /post/) to the new ones with 301s. Your domain stays where it is; only the DNS records change on launch day.
WooCommerce to Shopify. Products, variants, customers and order history move across with an import tool. Shopify forces its own URL pattern (/products/ and /collections/), so every product and category URL gets a redirect in Shopify's redirect settings. One honest catch: customer passwords can't be moved, so existing customers get an email inviting them to set a new one.
How much do website redesign services cost?
In India, a WordPress business site redesign typically costs Rs 25,000 to 80,000, and a Shopify store redesign starts from Rs 40,000. A light refresh costs less and gets quoted once we've seen the site. What moves the price is the number of pages, who writes the copy, any platform migration, how many products need moving, and any Gujarati version.
For businesses in Australia, the UK and the USA, a redesign falls into our fixed USD packages: Starter at $2,500 for up to 6 pages, Professional at $5,500 for up to 15 and Authority at $9,500 for up to 30. Stores are $3,500 (Launch) or $7,500 (Growth). It's all on our pricing page, and every quote is itemised so you can see what's in it.
Hiring a website redesign company in India from Australia, the UK or the USA
It's easier than most people expect, because our hours overlap with yours. Our 10 AM to 7 PM IST day covers the Australian afternoon and the UK morning, and US clients get an early or late call. Between calls you'll have the staging link, short screen-recorded walkthroughs of each round of changes, and email or WhatsApp. We host near your customers (Sydney, London or the US East Coast), add a cookie banner for UK visitors and bill in US dollars.
How a redesign runs, step by step
- A 30 to 45 minute call and a look at your current site. You'll know if it needs a refresh, a redesign or a rebuild, and roughly the cost.
- Next comes the audit. We crawl the site, pull Search Console and analytics data and build the URL map, so we know which pages carry your traffic before anyone opens Figma.
- Wireframes and copy, built on the pages that already bring traffic.
- Design happens in Figma, starting with the homepage and one inner page. Two rounds of changes on those, then the rest follow.
- We build on the staging link, which you can poke around on your phone any evening.
- Before launch we test speed, forms, tracking, devices and every redirect in the URL map. Dull work, and it catches most problems.
- We go live on a weekday morning. Never a Friday evening.
- For two weeks after launch we check Search Console every day and fix problems as they appear.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a website redesign cost?+
In India, usually Rs 25,000 to 80,000 for a WordPress business site, and from Rs 40,000 for a Shopify store. Overseas clients pick from our fixed USD packages, from $2,500 for a Starter site and $3,500 for a store. Page count, copywriting and any platform move decide the final figure.
How long does a website redesign take?+
Three to five weeks for most business sites, four to eight for an online store. A light refresh is quicker. What slows projects down is nearly always content waiting on the client's side, so send text and photos early and the date usually holds.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign my website?+
You shouldn't, as long as the URL mapping and redirects are done properly. We crawl the old site, keep the content that ranks and set a 301 for every page with traffic or backlinks. A small dip in the first week or two is normal. For two weeks after launch we check Search Console daily, and rankings usually hold, sometimes they improve.
Should I redesign my site or rebuild it on a new platform?+
Redesign if the platform still does the job and your team can update it. Rebuild if the platform is the bottleneck, say a Wix site that can't do what you need, or a store that slows to a crawl in every sale. My rule of thumb: switch platforms when the current one costs you money, not because another is fashionable.
Can you do a WordPress redesign without changing my hosting?+
Often, yes. If your hosting is decent, we can redesign on a staging copy and launch on the same server. If the hosting is slow or overloaded (common with very cheap shared plans), we'll suggest moving, because no theme can fix a slow server. Either way, the domain and hosting stay in your name.
Can you do a Shopify store redesign without losing products or reviews?+
Yes. A Shopify store redesign normally means a new or reworked theme, so your products, collections, customers and orders stay exactly where they are. Product reviews stored in a review app carry over too. If you're moving to Shopify from WooCommerce, we migrate the data and set redirects for every product and category URL.
Will my current website stay live during the redesign?+
It will. We build the new version on a separate staging link, and your current site keeps running untouched until launch day. The switch takes minutes, on a weekday morning, with us around to fix anything. Your customers never see a half-built page.
Do you work with businesses in Australia, the UK and the USA?+
We do, and quite a few small businesses abroad come to us for exactly this. Our 10 AM to 7 PM IST day overlaps the Australian afternoon and the UK morning, and we book early or late calls for the US. Prices are fixed USD packages, and everything stays in your name.
What happens after the redesigned site goes live?+
For the first two weeks, we're in Search Console every day, fixing any 404s or indexing problems and checking that redirects work. After that you can manage the site yourself, since we record training for your team, or take a monthly maintenance plan for updates, backups and small edits.
